Failing to find lasting love, “American Idol” winner David Cook and former contestant Kimberly Caldwell have called an end to their romance.“They didn’t want to make a big deal about it,” an insider tells of the breakup, which reportedly took place just before Christmas.
Explaining why the couple parted ways, a source tells Us magazine, “He has a lot of options and wants to explore them. He doesn’t want to be tied down.”
As for the not-too-distant chatter of a nearing engagement and a ring being purchased, “That rumor was not true. The relationship just sort of dissolved.”
